WASHINGTON, DC — June 10, 2008 – Gratis Internet, a leading global performance-based Internet advertising firm, announced today the launch of SocialCash, a suite of products designed to help monetize applications on Social Networks.
SocialCash, which is Web-based and self-service, simplifies advertising and allows application developers to focus on what they do best, developing viral and engaging applications. With more than 70 percent of social network users residing outside of the U.S., SocialCash customers also benefit from Gratis Internet’s eight years of experience working with high-quality advertisers world-wide through its network.
The initial products in the SocialCash suite are BannerCash™, a quickly growing ad network that delivers banner ads on social networking applications and PointCash™, a virtual currency engine that allows users to complete advertising offers for points or coins. SocialCash has successfully run in private beta with 15 partners on over 200 applications to date on Facebook. "SocialCash is the top team we are working with to monetize our social gaming apps,” said Siqi Chen, founder of Friends for Sale. “They are smart, make us top dollar and are fun to work with.”
Gratis Internet plans to announce a third SocialCash product in the SocialCash suite in the coming months.
“Since 2000, Gratis Internet has been a pioneer in performance-based marketing,” said Rob Jewell, founder and CEO of Gratis Internet, who is well known for launching freeipods.com. “Given that 5 of the 10 most trafficked Web sites are user-generated, social sites, the launch of SocialCash extends our innovation in ad networks to application developers who are looking to take the guesswork out of monetizing their apps.”
